Terms of service
Last updated Consistent with the published FAQ.
These terms govern your use of wraithhq.com, the Wraith client portal and the Wraith design subscription. They are written to match what is published elsewhere on this site rather than to quietly narrow it. If anything here appears to contradict a promise made in the FAQ, tell us at hello@wraithhq.com and we will fix the inconsistency.
The agreement
Wraith is operated by Tethys. In these terms, "Wraith", "we" and "us" mean Tethys, and "you" means the company that subscribes, together with everyone you invite into your workspace. By subscribing, or by using the portal, you accept these terms on behalf of that company.
What the service is
Wraith is a monthly design subscription. You submit requirements through the client portal; AI drafts inside your existing design system; a named senior designer reviews and signs every deliverable before it reaches you. Deliverables arrive on-system in code and in Figma, not as flat mockups. It is an async service: requests, questions, revisions and deliverables live in the portal, with a reply within one business day and no standing meetings.
Scope, and what is out of it
In scope: design-system maintenance and extension. Components, tokens, patterns, and the documentation around them, against a design system you already have.
Out of scope: net-new product strategy and research, and building a design system from scratch. If a request needs either, your designer will say so plainly rather than quietly shipping a thin version of it. Anything larger than a standard requirement is scoped and agreed before work starts rather than promised inside the standard turnaround.
Plans, slots and payment
- Studio$3,995 per month
- One concurrent request slot. An unlimited queue behind it, in the order you choose.
- Scale$6,995 per month
- Two concurrent request slots, so two requirements move at the same time. Everything else, the designer, the review and the turnaround target, is identical to Studio.
A slot is one requirement being worked at a time. When a deliverable is reviewed and handed back, the slot frees up and the next request in your queue moves into it. Team seats are not capped and cost nothing extra: anyone you invite can submit and edit requests according to the role you give them. What is capped is concurrent slots, not headcount.
Both plans are month to month with no contract and no minimum commitment. Payment is taken by Stripe, in advance, on a monthly recurring basis, and renews automatically until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you are. If a payment fails, we may suspend work on active requests until billing is current. There is no pause option today.
Turnaround and revisions
48 hours is the target for a standard requirement, from submission to a reviewed, on-system deliverable in code and Figma. It is a target, not a guaranteed deadline, and it applies to standard requirements only. Larger requests are scoped upfront. The target starts applying once your designer has access to your Figma file and your repository, which usually takes the first few days of a new subscription.
Revisions are unlimited for as long as a request holds its slot. If a deliverable is not right, you say what is off and it goes back into the same slot for another pass at no extra cost, rather than becoming a new request. The slot only frees up when you are satisfied, so the practical limit is your own throughput, not a revision count.
What we need from you
- Access. To your Figma file and your repository, so deliverables land on-system. Without it we can only produce flat mockups, and the turnaround target does not apply.
- Rights in what you give us. You confirm you own, or are licensed to use, the brand assets, fonts, imagery, content and code you put into the service, and that our using them to do your work does not infringe anyone's rights.
- Timely responses. Reviews and revisions are async. A request waiting on your answer holds its slot and does not count against the turnaround target.
- Account security. You are responsible for who you invite and for the actions taken under your workspace's accounts.
Ownership of deliverables
You own the work. On delivery, all right, title and interest in the deliverables produced for you transfers to you. Deliverables land in your own Figma file and your own codebase, so there is nothing to hand over and nothing to migrate. You keep everything already delivered, during the subscription and after it ends, including if you cancel.
Two narrow carve-outs, so this is not overstated. First, we keep ownership of our own general tools, internal templates, tooling and know-how, none of which are deliverables, and you get whatever licence to them is needed to use your deliverables fully. Second, third-party material inside a deliverable, for example an open source library or a licensed typeface, stays under its own licence; we will tell you when a deliverable depends on one.
We will not publish your work as case study or portfolio material without your written permission.
How AI is used
AI does the drafting, inside your design system. A named senior designer reviews and signs every deliverable, and AI never signs off on its own output and never has the final say. That split is what buys the speed: more on-system variations and earlier inconsistency checks, with human judgement still on the last step.
Your files, your requests and your design system are not used to train models, and nothing from your workspace is reused as context for another client's work. Content is sent to our AI provider for the sole purpose of producing your deliverable. The privacy policy names the provider and describes exactly what is sent.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is the default. Your requests, files and code are not shared outside the engagement. Beyond that, a mutual NDA is available at no extra cost and can be signed before any work starts; where a signed NDA and these terms both apply, the NDA governs confidentiality. Each side will protect the other's confidential information and use it only to perform this agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wraith, the portal or the chat assistant to:
- Submit content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Ask for work that is unlawful, that facilitates fraud or deception, or that is designed to mislead or harm users of your product.
- Deliberately request deceptive interface patterns, or accessibility-hostile designs presented as compliant.
- Attempt to extract our system prompts, resell access to the AI assistant, or use the assistant as a general-purpose model proxy.
- Probe, scrape, overload or interfere with the service or its rate limits, or attempt to reach another customer's workspace.
- Share your workspace access with people outside your company, other than the collaborators you invite in good faith.
The public chat assistant on this site is an informational tool. Its answers are not a deliverable, are not reviewed by a designer before you see them, and should not be treated as a commitment about scope, price or timing. The published pages and your written agreement govern.
Cancellation and termination
You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal. No contract, no notice period, and no cancellation fee. You keep everything already delivered, and nothing is taken away. There is no pause option today, so a cancel and restart is the way to take a break. We do not refund the unused part of a paid month unless we have failed to deliver, in which case talk to us and we will be reasonable about it.
On cancellation, access to the portal ends at the end of the paid period, and requests still in the queue are not started. Work already in a slot is finished where practical.
We can end the agreement too, with reasonable notice and a refund of any unused paid period, or immediately for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, or use that violates the acceptable use section. We will always say why.
Warranties and disclaimers
We will perform the service with reasonable skill and care, and every deliverable is reviewed and signed by a named senior designer before it reaches you. Beyond that, the service is provided as is. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, that a deliverable will achieve a particular business outcome, or that the 48 hour target will be met on every request. Accessibility is addressed as described on the accessibility statement: deliverables are designed to WCAG 2.2 AA, which is a design standard rather than a certified audit or a VPAT.
Limitation of liability
Neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, however caused. Each side's total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the amount you paid Wraith in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited where you are.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes when we do. For a change that materially affects an active subscription, including a price change, we will email the workspace owner before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies rather than accept it. Continuing to use Wraith after the effective date means the updated terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which Tethys is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. The specific state and venue are being confirmed and will be named here.
Contact
Questions about these terms go to hello@wraithhq.com. If something here reads as narrower than what we promised you elsewhere, say so and we will correct it.
